Utamachu
What is this?
Utamachu is a tamagotchi game made during the Always learning Jam #1. As of 4-4-2026, the game is incomplete but has some basic features. While you can play it in the browser (using the mouse to press buttons), it's designed as a desktop overlay game, and thus downloading the game will give you the full experience.
Since this has been a jam focused on learning, I'll be adding a markdown file with my ramblings about the jam, my process, and what's going on! Would be too long for this page. Meanwhile, you can read a partial version of it on the jam's submission page.

- Thanks, TJ Trewin, for the game idea and motivation to make it
Technology used:
- Godot Engine for coding the game itself
- Pixquare & Aseprite for drawing the icons, the critter, and the text (Yeah, I'm that smart, I drew it instead of writing it. There's half a reason, read the Markdown document)

This is a cool concept! I really like the art style.
Good Work!
I think this little idea has potential, would be fun to see how far you could take it =)
